For me it is the sound track. I have spent a lot of money (for me) On a good sound system to make the movie that much better.

Next month I will be replacing my 720P / 1080i PJ for a 1080P projector to sweeten & finish the second best thing about BD.

Most amazing thing about Blu-ray is the number of inane complaints being made about it in this threads antithetical reciprocate.

This is the only thread that should exist on the subject of Blu-ray likes/dislikes. There isn't a thing about Blu-ray that isn't amazing!

Nice viewing room!

The best thing about blu-ray is the potential for PQ/AQ to be the best. Some films get the best, while others do not.

BD is one step closer to the resolution of most films, which is 4K. I just hope we get 4K displays before I am 50.

When movies you're familiar with largely through dingy-looking DVDs and VHS tapes look and sound better than an immaculate show print at the premiere

Now we can have our 200"+ screen and still have an exceptional picture.

Disc space, and all that allows. Also pop up menus. I love pop up menus.

And seriously, Petra, the 'Most Annoying' thread people get it. You're the pioneer of positivity!

oh and 'cine-explore' 'Maximum Movie Mode' etc - during the movie - now that's cool - wish more studios released discs with this feature.
