Some people here have entirely too many blu-ray movies! I'm not saying that's a bad thing, but do you really like all those movies? Or is there another reason?

Currently I am ONLY buying movies I like in the Blu-ray format. Others I will wait until the battle is over. I buy many family movies, for the family, but it also helps support my format of choice.

Most movies taste good to me.

J/K - I buy what I feel I will watch more than a couple times. That being said, I still have 8 Blu-rays sitting on my shelf that I have not opened.

My real answer seems to tie into A, B and C. Right now I only buy movies that are heavy with special effects... which means I like to see them in high definition, plus I want to help blu-ray sales. True enough, I don't buy as much as I should. But I do plan to ultimately replace all my DVDs with BDs -- except for comedies, dramas (excluding Heat ) and maybe some horror flicks.

A and B mostly for me. Looking at my DVD collection I know I have DVD's I would rather not have. So, I will buy blu to replace my favs and get new favorites.

You know, I was going to make a very sexist comment, but I just completed buckshots sensitivity training course and am a new man.

I buy movies in Blu that I enjoy and enjoy seeing in 1080p, with a nice PQ/AQ package. When I first got my PS3 and it came with Talladega Nights, once I saw that I was hooked. I have around 24 BR's of films I know I will see again and again, with many more to come. After seeing these in High Def, watching an SD just isn't the same anymore. A and B for me.

High Def. The only way to go. I have double dipped many times just to see my movies in better clarity

because the poll is THAT awesome

seriously though, I think its because you can choose more than one option. if it was one choice only, it would total 100. But with multiples, its entirely possible that 100% of the people could vote for #2 while 5% of the people voting could vote for #4, for example.

a) They're in high definition

DVDs look nice, but a GOOD Blu-ray on a HD screen... think about it!
I go for PQ over all else.

I enjoy films in general. along with the package it must include the whole nine yards "EXCELLENT PQ, LOSSLESS SOUND." For it contributes to the level of enjoyment of the film.
