Default HDTV for Gaming, Movies?

I've been doing research on HDTV, specifically LED and plasma for about a month. I've narrowed my choices to the Sony 46" HX729 and the Panasonic 42"/46" ST30. I've heard the pros/cons for each as well as the issues.

Now, I would use this TV mostly for PS3 gaming (60%) especially with Resistance 3 and Uncharted 3 coming out, Blu-ray movies (10%) and TV watching (30%). It's for my bedroom temporarily until I get my apartment. My viewing distance is a comfortable 5"-10" feet. There are two windows but the TV is not facing the windows. The lighting in my room can be dim like a nice restaurant. However, I do watch my movies with the lights on.

The only thing I do not know much about is gaming input lag. This will be a major factor in my choice. Let me know about the experiences of gaming on the TVs that I have as candidates. I have a poll and would like as much input as possible to get an idea of which TV recommended.
