Question BD Uncompressed Audio Concerts

Greeting Forum Members,

Sony, recently, has been promoting their BD Player offering wonderful uncompressed audio as a major feature of the BDP-S1, along with their 1080p Video capabilities. Sony should offer some of their prerecorded concerts, they already have in their vaults, in the Blu-Ray 1080p HD Video format with Uncompressed multi-channel audio and in direct proportion to their movie releases. If I were the CEO of Sony, I would have them release immediately the amazing concert Sony made in Greece, called Mythodia by Vangelis, with Kathleen Battle, and Jessye Norman to demonstrate the awsomeness of uncompressed audio. This one particular concert has a huge, spectacular cast of accompaniment - Chorus, Orchestra, 24 Tympanies, beautiful images of antiquity and of course space, time and the future of space exploration. I own multitudes of DVD Concerts and, in my opinion, this concert (Mythodia) is at the pinnicle of all entertainment. OK, Sony - get on the ball and release this concert in Blu-Ray with uncompressed audio Now !, or present to us a concert (like this one ) that in itself will be amazing and showing off the full potential of uncompressed multi-channel surround music, to that cultured audiophile audience that can afford your Blu-Ray Player as well as movie buffs. [Jim]

You can be sure they will be on the way - but first we will most probably get some rubbish. Whilst the format is young with limited titles you will buy almost anything - a choice, a brand new player that you can only look at or a movie that you would never have thought about watching, or have seen once never to see again, so you by it (I know I have with DVD). The only thing in the consumers favour is this little war that is going on. They may release the good titles much faster.
