Default Need help finding a certain Blu-Ray Player.

I have a 60GB PS3 and it's stored in a closet with my other AV equipment. Lately with all the heat down here in the south the PS3 has been getting real hot and the fan has been turning up all the way and making a loud noise. There's not to much ventilation in this closet which is a problem i am currently trying to fix but in the meantime i am looking for a blu-ray player that is quiet and does not blow out hot air and make noises.

I know my problem is mainly my ventilation but i use to own a PCH-200 and it was very quiet with no heat blowing out of the unit.

Is it time for me to upgrade to the new ps3 or will i have the same problem? If not is there another blu-ray player that doesn't accumulate to much heat?

Thanks For your Support.

I believe the new PS3 does not put out the same heat as the older version. It's also now down to $250.

As to other players.......I'm partial to Sony, but none of them should really pose a heat issue. Just pick the features you want.

I just got a Panasonic BDT110, and I love it. It was cheap (~$100), starts-up and loads lightening fast and has excellent BD and upscaled PQ.

Highly recommended.
