yes my roommate spilled soda on my receiver, when i wasnt home, I had a Pioneer 9040 cost me about 500 dollars, now my roomate budget is about 400 anything good out there under 500 dollars worth getting? please fill me in, I was going through the forums, but couldnt find anything, as you can see i have Polk Speakers and eD Sub

The pioneer is one of the good choices , it's one of the new models with several options , Airplay , more HDMI's , but if the budget is Only 400$ the best option is the one gave by BigAl , like the others said , give a nice tap in the back of your roommate and " Hit the road Jack "

Unless the receiver shorted out, there are ways to fix this. It might involve taking the receiver apart, putting it into distilled water, then taking it out and putting it in a plastic bag with lots of moisture absorbers. When it's totally dry, put it back together.

Search the web. I bet you can find specifics on how to do this.

Guys so I think I narrowed it down to 3 receivers 1. Pioneer 1121k or 2. Yamaha A1000 Supposedly Best Buy has this for $399 on clearance or 3. the Yamaha RX-V867 on sale for also $399 idk any suggestions?
