I just bought this model TV this week and I absolutely love it... Still getting all the brightness and color settings worked out to my taste of course. But Im highly impressed with the TV overall. Although it is a 3D TV, I didn't buy it for that, I got it because I wanted LCD with the 240Hz refresh rate.
I have not dropped the money on any 3D glasses for this set yet and I'm not sure if I will or not. ($125 each list price, but I can get a set of 2 on eBay for $60). Does anybody else have the XVT 3D series from Vizio who can tell me how they rate in 3D performance?? Is it worth the cost? (glasses and movies) Also, I understand that I would actually have to buy the "3D Version" of the movie I want to watch as well?? If so, do the 3D version Blu-Rays included the standard 2D version as well? or do you have to buy that seperate? |

" Most " 3d movies you buy will include the 2d version as well. Exclusives that come in glasses bundles from other manufactures being the case. Like Avatar or Shrek, Megamind ..etc.
I can't comment about the 3d quality on your tv though, my mom has one & she got the glasses bundled with hers BUT has yet to use it for 3D lol. |

Ive been using mine now for several months, and after watching close to 30 movies, there's pretty much crosstalk in just about everything. The only saving grace is that my Panasonic 310 player is definitely superior to my ps3 as far as 3d picture quality, and it has some picture adjustments that can be made. But again, it has alot to do with source material, and the glasses. Avatar looked amazing.
