Default SKILLET Appreciation Thread

Please do not insult the band members, their families, or anyone else in this thread. Thank you.

I first heard Skillet probably 14 years ago, but lost track of them until 2010 or so. Their sound has evolved through a few genres since lead singer John Cooper founded the group in 1996; currently, they lean toward rock and power ballads. The present lineup includes John on lead vocals and bass, his wife Korey on keyboards, Jen Ledger on drums and supporting vocals, and Seth Morrison on lead guitar. I have three of their most recent albums; are there any other "Panheads" around here?

This is the day; Skillet's new album is finally out. I woke up this morning, to find they'd released the remaining eight tracks on YouTube. I was tempted, but wanted to buy the actual CD instead of "cheating". I believe that when you really like a group, you should support their efforts. For those who did the same, what do you think of the new material?

Nice to meet a fellow Panhead! Comatose is arguably my all time favorite album.

The new album should be awesome. I get to see them twice this summer. The first this Saturday at Spiritsong Fest then in August with Sevendust.

Its hard to believe almost 4 years have passed since my last video post here, but this song is so powerful I wanted to share it with everyone. Its from the band's upcoming album Revolution, due out November 1st. I think you'll be glad for the on-screen lyrics, because sometimes John Cooper sings so fast I can't keep up with him. Listen with an open heart, and I think you'll love it.
