I would buy a good laptop with An i3 , a strong dGPU with hdmi that supports bitstreaming hd audio and an after-market slim bluray optical drive like panasonic or sony.
The internal blurays most of the times are awfull.

what exactly are you trying to accomplish?

do you want the cheapest laptop possible that plays blu-rays?

Looking for a gaming computer?

Preference on screen size?

Staples has a Toshiba L775D-S7340 with 6G of memory and a 640G hard drive, and AMD A6-3400M quad core processor and the Blu-Ray player for only $499 starting the 9th of Oct. I'll be picking mine up when the store opens in the morning.
