Default Halloween 2 and 3 coming this Fall

While browsing through Bloody-Disgusting I found this

http://www.bloody-disgusting.com/news/24592

Well, those guys always have very good sources, so I will believe them, that we will see the 2 movies this Halloween. But damn, no special features, that's a shame. Let's hope that the PQ and AQ are at least good.

Could care less about the extras myself, I mean what more is there to learn about these films?

Just give a decent transfer for each film at a budget price.
Even better make it a double feature,(two discs,one case)for a decent price.

Good news, though the majority of the story is whining about the lack of extras.

Quote:
Granted, the improved picture and sound will be nice, but are the majority of fans going to drop 20-30 bucks on a new disc just for an improved transfer?
Any smart shopper won't. They will wait for deals.

I agree. Who cares about special features as long as the price is reasonable enough to justify buying it without the bonus features. If it's $10-15, who cares about the bonus features. But, if it's more than that, then the bonus content better be on there, otherwise, no sale.

I'm hoping to purchase these two films as well ...

I still think Halloween II deserves a proper special edition treatment. I mean, there's at least 2 cuts of the movie out there and an alternate ending. But I'll still buy a barebones release, especially since the DVD is barebones as well. Not losing any content with the upgrade.

it would be nice to just get a whole box set, but I think most of these are getting released from different studios right?

Hopefully, Best Buy will include these in their $9.99 horror movie sale in October. I want to buy both of these.

I will get part 2, but part 3 just plain sucks. It has nothing to do with Michael.

I have different cuts of films on VHS, H6 Producer's cut, TV version of H2, and a few others. too lazy to convert to DVD

It would be nice if they'd release a true special edition, but it'll never happen. Even if they incorporated as deleted scenes, but seems like they just don't want to spend the effort into doing it. It costs money to remaster and find the old versions and I think they're happy with people just buying a bare bones release.
