New on the BLUE team - Blu-ray Forum

Hi all,
This is my first post here. I just joined the BLUE team this weekend and am very very happy. I have got a 42" 1080p Aquos and the BDP-S300.

No receiver yet, as the budget allowed only this for now. Later, I will get the Pioneer Elite and the speakers... maybe from Klipsch. Now the question: Do you guys know if Band of Brothers will be released on BD? It would make an awesome addition to the collection.

Hola Senior. Band of Brothers is a Spielberg, and he is very iffy right now with the next gen stuff. It may be a little bit of time before we see more from him.

Welcome aboard the BLU train...one piece of advice, demo out some Denon 4000 series AV receivers before you spend almost the same amount of money an inferior Pioneer Elite AVR. You can get the Denon AVR 4308 which has 4 HDMI 1.3a ports, 7.1 DD and DTA along with Dolby TrueHD and DTA MA-HD decoding, wireless network, XM ready...the features go on and on...I personally have the 4306 because I have had mine for over a year now and I love it! I demo-ed it last year next to the best Yamaha, Sony, and Pioneer Elite receivers...and it blew all of them away, this year's Denon is the new 4308 which I highly recommend, it may cost you another $500-$800 over the Pioneer Elite but its sooooo worth it! No offense to anyone who owns any of those receivers...but Denon is in a league of its own, especially the 4000/5000 series.

Doing mine tonight, takes up to 30 minutes they say. Follow the directions. You should be fine.

There should be a blu-ray.com sticker on every standalone, ps3, and BD movie so people know where to go for the best help in the HD industry.
