most certainly NOT the final artwork... they´ve never used the original title instead of the german "Der Weisse Hai"

Why not? I don't see why Universal would create a different steel for different countries. They could just use a wraparound with the German title on.

afaik universal hasn´t done that up until now... (printing english title -or no title at all- on SteelBook and using german only on paperwrap)
and even releases using the original title got a completely different german SteelBook than other countries (Fast5, Wolfman, Green Zone, Kick Ass, Wanted, Basterds etc etc)
Universal isn´t really doin the one-steel-4-all thing over here

although they could possibly start with this title.. but it´s not very likely keeping their previous releases in mind...

So far, I think Germany is just getting the Steelbook for now. I am not seeing any indication of a regular amaray. But, no problem for me, I've been meaning to see the film dubbed in German.

I'm new to steel's so I apologize if this is a dumb question...

According to the German review the steelbook is region free. Does that mean that the UK version will be region free as well? I ordered it from Amazon.uk but I live in the US. Are most of these Universal 100th Anniversary steels region free?

Universal have rights worldwide on jaws so it'll be region free. Only universal uk and their indivision sub label tend to region lock.
