now this is one of the movies they really shouldn't be bothered to give steelbook treatment to....

I have never heard of this. Why do they just chuck any old crap on Steelbook? It should be for the big blockbusters and 'great' films.

is this cancelled then? shame as i was going to preorder, then the next day it wont let me. play were the only site to ever have a steelbook version on order.

I think it's safe to presume that this is not happening now.

Whilst the listing is still on Play - there's been no talk of this Steelbook since it appeared on the site months ago.

I've contacted the UK distributor, so hopefully we'll have clarity soon!

Official response:

Hi,

There is no steelbook for Holy Rollers – we never approved any artwork for it and never approved a steelbook going ahead. It was an idea that we were playing with but when it became apparent that commercially it wouldn’t be a wise move (as we wouldn’t have retail support). I believe that our former sales agents placed this with Play prematurely.

I apologise for any confusion with this but hopefully clears it up.

The DVD and Blu Ray versions look fab, however!
