In the past Warner was very reliable in 3D Blu-Ray Releases.
This make me very scared. Black Year for 3D Blu-Ray...

This whole "pre-order before the film is even released" thing is a kinda new development. Talk about blind buys...

Went to see if Zavvi had anything up for this and In the Shop By Category, Zavvi has dropped the 3D category from it's list. Not a good sign.

It's going to be expensive to get hold of if it only gets a 3D Blu-ray release in India but it's far too early to draw any conclusions yet, it may well come out elsewhere or the Indian pre-order could be pulled. Give the film a chance in cinemas first - best to not get too excitable and wait and see with these things really...

WB has been the most consistent supporter of 3D Blu (particularly US 3D Blu) and I really can't put much thought into some pre orders weeks before it is even in theaters, so give it some time and I'm cautiously optimistic about a 3D Blu.

Though, the state of 3D Blu is also such that WB (or any other studio) could decide to drop support for it at any time and it shouldn't count as a surprise.

Well, I hope that WB does release a 3D Blu because that would be my preferred way to watch it. I wanted to re-watch the first one before I saw this one today, but we're moving so my disc is in a box somewhere and the digital copy isn't 3D. (I did check HBO On Demand, but they were only giving the Ninjago movie in 3D)

While I felt that the 3D in LEGO Movie 2 was not quite a strong as in the first one, it was still fun, and there were a couple good pop-outs (although there were a few times where I felt like they should have popped things out and for whatever reason, they didn't) and in general, it was decent. I just like the way the 3D makes the LEGOs look more real. It's hard to explain. It gives them shape and dimension so they look like real toys. More so than watching in in 2D.
