Crytek tells PC user "Buy a 360" due to problems with SLI on Crysis 3

Hmmm... this just rubs me the wrong way. I don't even play Crysis 3, but...

You know when a joke goes too far that it becomes simply offensive?


Here’s an example of that. Imagine paying hundreds of dollars to buy an expensive gaming rig and expecting something to work only to be told to buy something else instead.

Crysis 3 beta just came out today, and some PC players have been having troubles running the game on SLI.

“Haven’t been able to get SLI working. Running dual 660 Ti. Got the beta drivers installed, added the beta game to the list, SLI is checked, r_multigpu is set to 2…What do?” a gamer posted on the MyCrysis forums where people were giving feedback about the Crysis 3 beta.

A Crytek employee responded by posting “Buy a 360″. He later retracted his comment by saying it was a “joke”, but what a poor and tasteless joke it really is.



The guy who was having problems was understandably pissed off at the reply.

“Seriously ?! such as nice support!! trolling about Crytek problem. We won’t replace our hardware because you have broken game engine, fix it!”

Very poor behavior and absolutely not funny. What do you think?
