List of $140 and a street price of $120 or so. Kind of expensive except for the completists out there. Admittedly, I have none of these on BD and only a few on DVD. Also, that bonus disc is awesome!

I'm a huge fan, but when I saw the announcement of the set, it was the first time I felt shafted. We are spoiled with releases, but anybody who wants all these concerts has them in some form.
Rush In Rio on Blu-ray (first time available) R30 is extended from the DVD set, but previously released Snakes & Arrows Live Time Machine 2011 Clockwork Angels Tour I have the first three on DVD, and the last two on Blu-ray. To buy this would be for an upgrade for Rush In Rio, R30 to get the full show, Snakes & Arrows and of course, the bonus disc. I don't have a great audio setup, so the PQ isn't worth an upgrade anyway. Best-case scenario is the best Barnes & Noble sale that would put it down to $60 with a coupon as a member. |

Seems like a good fit for me, being a lapsed Rush fan. During my university Rush phase I got Rio and R30 on DVD and had fallen out by the time the rest were released. I wish it wasn't called R40 though, brings back memories of being very disappointed with R30 when I got the DVD.
Though if I pick up Rush anything it really ought to be the remastered Vapor Trails. |

I saw on Best Buy's website that they had two version listed. One which comes out tomorrow for $139.99 and one which comes out Tuesday for $99.99. The one coming out on Tuesday has a bonus DVD, while the other release doesn't. Not sure why they have two sets listed, the one with the bonus DVD being less. I would get this, but aside from Rush In Rio and R30 I have the others all on Blu. Now I suppose if I got this set, I could just go to a local used shop and sell the other Blu's to make some money back.

I'm pretty sure the Best Buy edition and the Backstage edition are one and the same, although if I'm wrong I'm sure someone will correct me

Who else got this?
![]() ![]() My thoughts on the bonus disc... Laura Secord Secondary School 1974- Watching literally gave me goosebumps right from the start ![]() ![]() Capitol Theatre 1976- A hair better than what we've seen on YouTube, but it sounds absolutely phenomenal on my stereo. I wish we had more footage like this ![]() Lock and Key 1988- To be honest, I expected this to look far better than it does. How can the clips of this song on YouTube look better than this? ![]() ![]() ![]() Molson Amphitheatre 1997- Worth the price of admission alone, IMO. This was what I was waiting for, and it more than delivered and lived up to the hype ![]() |

Just got home a few minutes ago from Best Buy. Wow, this thing is amazing. I thought it would just be inside a box with a small book, had no idea how big this set was until I got it. Can't wait to dig into this and start watching.

I'm wondering this as well. I already have R30, Snakes & Arrows, Time Machine, and Clockwork Angels on Blu Ray - I'd be buying this only for Rush In Rio and the bonus disc. That said, I'd still do it if Rush In Rio is a considerable upgrade.

I'm afraid it's just upconverted SD, looks pretty bad. I popped in my DVD to compare and it looks about the same. No effort was put into this one.

I am! Inglewood Forum Aug 1st.
As a diehard Rush fan, I feel betrayed by this release. Not the actual product itself, which is awesome for those that had little or none of this stuff. But I bought every single one of these as soon as they came out, including R30 double-dip when the full concert was made available on blu. My problem is that the bonus disc is seemingly not being made available separately, so if I want it, I gotta buy everything all over again! I'm a diehard fan, started when I was 11 years old ('91), and the sentiment echoes among other fans that already have all these concerts. I hope the bonus disc becomes available on its own. |

![]() ![]() ![]() I was on the fence about buying it too, honestly, but it was so worth it for the bonus disc alone! I only had R30 and the Clockwork Angels DVD, so it really wasn't much of a big deal to buy a box set with two releases I already had (they were Blu upgrades, afterall!). If I had them all already, I really couldn't see myself shilling out the $80 I paid at Best Buy on release day. If you're that interested about the bonus footage, most of it is on YouTube anyway. Most, if not all, of the Test for Echo stuff was uploaded not long after the release, Jersey 1976 has been around for ages as well as Lock and Key from A Show of Hands. If you have to have it, the only reason I'd say to get it would be for the St. Catherines footage which is pretty amazing ![]() |

I have/am. I had originally planned to do Tulsa, Buffalo, Toronto #1, Montreal, Philadelphia, and New York. But I flew down for the opening night in Tulsa, and I was so blown away that I decided to add Toronto #2 and Newark on top of what I had already planned.
I can't stress enough how amazing this tour is. My first Rush show was on the first leg of Snakes & Arrows so it's not like I've been seeing forever, but Tulsa was absolutely the best Rush show I've seen. I have to admit the first set was slightly underwhelming, but the second set more than makes up for it; you'd be hard pressed to find someone who wrote a dream setlist as good as the second set and encore are. And the stage show is top notch, even by Rush's standards. |

Going to see them this Saturday in Bristow, VA. Thinking about trying to catch the Vegas and/or L.A. show. Looks like they have three slightly different set lists they are rotating?
Seen them on every tour since Permanent Waves in 1980, but am really looking forward to this one. |
