I hope this is the right thread....
I just got a new PS3 slim after my Fat ps3 80 gig went out. the 80 gig did not stream/decode HD Audio. From what i understand the new slim ps3 will. is this correct? what I want to know is I have a receiver (in my sig) that has HDMI outputs and decodes DTS HD and Dolby HD, i can run my ps3 through it with optical to get the audio from my ps3 with the hdmi running to the tv for HD video, but my receiver will not allow video to pass through, my question is, if i get a hdmi splitter can i run hdmi to the splitter box from the ps3, then run a hdmi cable to my receiver and one to my tv and get the picture and audio in HD without any lag? before i had to use a stand alone blu ray player that i connected to my 73 inch tv with component cables for video and the hdmi cable for hd audio and the video obviously was not as good and was slightly delayed over the picture. i basicaly want to know can i split the audio video in hd over the splitter to get it to work until i get a newer receiver. |
