Dick Tracy Blu-ray review

In a recent interview, they screened a new HD transfer of it and he talked for a while afterwards. He doesn't seem to want to step on any Disney toes by going into detail about the release, but they are working on it.

Last year marked the 20th anniversary and I doubt if they are working on it now that they will be waiting until 2015 for the 25th, so maybe it will just get a general release. I'm speculating.

This is exciting news as I always liked it as a kid. I didn't even realize Warren Beatty was still alive.

I loved this as a kid. Now, I appreciate it more for the terrific cinematography and production design.

Um...yes please! I'd own this on Blu Ray if it was bare bones. That's how much I love this film.

Al Pacino? Best comic book villain of all time as Big Boy Caprice.

Can someone expand upon this? What are the different cuts of the film?

105 minutes in the U.S. and 101 minutes internationally.

Alright! Hopefully this doesn't take too long to actually happen. I love this movie and I think it would look great in HD.

I don't know that anyone's ever detailed what it included, but the rumor always was that Beatty had a 135 minute longer version and Katzenberg had him cut it back. Not sure if that's true or not, but I think that's the longer version that mckee74 was referencing.

would love a longer version. Some of the scenes seemed too short and the songs are only partially performed

It would be cool to have some nice HD gallery scans of all the publicty matieral for the film. Trailers TV Spots etc. I still have my Newsweek and Time D.T. covers!

Why is it so hard to find a copy of "Reds" at a decent price?

, the only store in my area that even has it is FYE and they want 24.99 + tax for a brand new copy of it!

Because Reds has gone OOP. It is currently $54.99 on Amazon.
