Default How To Steal The Crown Of England / The Fantastic Argoman (1967) coming on BLU!

Hello guys,

The ultimate Italian cult-movie is coming out on BLU in North-America. Yes, I'm talking about everyone's fave superhero/eurospy/psychotronic movie from Italy... ARGOMAN!

Dorado Films is the company releasing this masterpiece. The print - nicely preserved by a lab in French - has been scanned on HD for a double DVD/BD release.

The only complaint is the LACK of a high quality footage featuring the pre-opening credits sequence (Argoman in China), and that's because the scene was cut for the Italian/European release! It only belongs to the USA/UK cut. AAARGH!

Any question?

By the way, Roger Browne (Argoman) is American!

Oh man, this is brilliant news. Here's hoping this is the first of many Dorado blu releases, they have a wonderful catalogue.

They are top notch company, that's for sure.
I'm working on one of the extras for the ARGOMAN release. I'm a big Argoman expert and also have two vintage production pics autographed by Roger Browne himself!

Hey, if it's Cyclops, why isn't he shooting lasers out of his eyes?

Great news,
I gave a lot of Hires pictures of the film to Dorado two years ago.

Just talked with Rick Knight from DORADO FILMS, the release is now set in 2012. It's a go anyway! So add a file at blu-ray.com.

What's up with this release?
Is it still due to be released this year?

Nothing new on Dorado website...

Thumbs up

Thanks for bumping this thread. I have never seen this before. That you-tube clip is great. It reminded me of a Python skit.

I hope this happens.

Interesting, I've never heard of this movie before. I might check it out if a Blu-ray is released.

Guys, quiet:

This masterpiece is still a go.

Just wait.

You're gonna know the greatest supercriminal/superhero/antihero of all the times: ARGOMAN.

Seems like it will be a HD presentation, not even 2k(!)

EDIT: "HDCAM SR tape, which has a resolution of 1080p."

This doesn't look promising. Will anyone have a spare $28K laying around in the next 13 hours?

Had I known it was this bad, we could have had a bake sale.
