I agree. It's not so much that I don't trust Sony anymore (maybe a little) but more that I know Sony is a target against hackers and they are a very persistent bunch. I think if hackers taught us anything, it is that nothing is invulnerable. Even the Defense Dept was hacked.

Is this temporary or permanent? I wonder why, I don't see why this would stop happening.
In other news, it seems bestbuy.com still has a few PSN games and PSN cards you can get, I believe sent as a code via email. Of course, their game/dlc selection is extremely smaller though. |

I use PSN cards exclusively; always purchased through Best Buy (not sure if RZ points apply to these purchases; I'll have to check my account) and have never been charged tax. |

What Mouse was probably doing (which I never thought of doing, but is pretty smart), is buying the PSN games, themselves, through Amazon. Rather than buying a card, he's probably just buying the voucher for the game itself, paying the straight price without tax, getting a redemption code, and downloading the game on PSN that way. |

I just noticed this yesterday as well. I was hoping it was a matter of Amazon simply being out of supply.
you know how sometimes games or movies will be third party only for a while, then go back to being "sold by amazon" do we know for sure they stopped all together? or are all just going off the lack of psn cards on amazon as of right now? |

I noticed the other day that while I had bought a 10.00 PSN card a month or so ago, now they were listed at $25.00 for a 20.00 PSN card.
And all the games/DLC stuff was gone. Someone thought it was because of some promo that was going on that day where the GOLD BOX stuff was all games related, but apparently not. This sucks as often they would have PSN stuff for cheaper than it was on the store. |

The reason they pulled all psn stuff boils down to taxes, Sony when they made the change to SNEA stopped charging sales taxes on purchases on the PSN in places they used too. However, since Amazon would be considered the acting seller of the content not Sony they would have to collect the sales tax on these items when sold due to Sony no longer doing so.
