not yet. George Lucas, where are you?

Oh, BTW, but I saw a star wars trailer in BD (maybe just to promote BD)

EDIT: PROMO, not Trailer

Won't happen for a long time. Not until there is a clear cut winner in this war, and then some... look how long it took to come out on DVD? Maybe sometime in 2009/2010?

Ohh How I wish they would bring SW to Blu-ray.
I'm afraid it may not happen until the war is decided.
Although it is one of those titles that could end a war.

What is good to know is that Spielberg is a fan of Blu and no doubt has shared his thoughts with his buddy Lucas. That and FOX is totally BLU!

With the threat of downloadable content looming they may decide to cash in the physical media now bringing it to HD sooner then he did with DVD.

We can all hope anyway.

why doesn't any one understand that there is no threat of DLC... only ubernerds would be able to grasp the concept and even still, the convience of physical media goes above and beyond that of DLC... i do not believe it's a viable option unless it was for renting.

star wars in HD would be eye-gasmic.

Perhaps they are working on the extras as we speak?
Lucas likes his extras and would def want them to be substantial.

This is another area where I can see him taking full advantage of seamless branching. All the original versions and the new cut scenes. You can choose to watch it whatever way you prefer.

Again I'm sure he'll see the good results from his buddies release of Close Encounters.

I wouldn't totally discount DLC though. It's only one step away from peoples cablebox DVR which is becoming quite commonplace. It's not that its an immediate threat but we all know its coming.

Back before Lucas released the original trilogy on DVD, I heard that at the time he was holding out for Blu-Ray. I guess I've always thought that Star Wars would be one of the first great big releases from Fox, like Harry Potter for Warner or Spider-Man for Sony.

But one thing I know for sure... with George Lucas, who knows.

i seen the price and i was a lil pissed....
but my story how i got my tv...

20 doller lotto ticket, walked out with a winning of 2.4k and got my tv.

then the sweet deal came about the lower price of the ps3...picked that up and mailed in the rebate asap for 5 free movie deal that didnt come in yet (almost 2 months passed)

42' or under is such a pefect size in a bed room...my cousin has a 50,but you have to turn your head to look anound the screen sitting so close in a bed room

but w/ the 42 you can just keep playing head st8 & see everythign in a game then looking anound...like whats ahead..pretty hard at fast pace speed.
