Default Aladdin Blu-ray Coming Soon?

Not to start another one of these but this was found on what is the UK's MPAA. Instead of not having to be rated bonus features must be rated in the the UK. Well this popped up...

This work was passed with no cuts made.

The BBFC has placed this work in the ADDITIONAL PRODUCTION MATERIAL genre(s).
The main spoken language in this work is English.

Directed by John Musker; Ron Clements
The cast for this work includes: Robin Williams (voice), Scott Weinger (voice), Linda Larkin (voice), Jonathan Freeman (voice), Frank Welker (voice), Gilbert Gottfried (voice).

When submitted to the BBFC the work had a running time of 86m 38s.

This work was submitted to the BBFC by Buena Vista Home Entertainment .
Buena Vista Home Entertainment identified this work as Additional material: MUSICAL MASTERPIECE - ALADDIN

apparently it is a bonus feature with the EXACT run time as the film. it was just listed yesterday. Also it seems Aladdin was removed from the Platinum Line due to it's poor sales which could warrant Disney to release it without pulling it out of the vault.

i'd prefer this or beauty and the beast.
I'm one of those who isn't too happy with Sleeping Beauty. While I respect the history of animation, Sleeping Beauty is probably my least favorite Disney Animated feature.

Well Beauty & the Beast is like the cream of the crop Platinum title compared to Snow White. But that's just it, it's a Platinum title which means only two a year. Now that Aladdin is no longer Platinum it can be released anytime at all.

I love Aladdin. Does this mean they're restoring the cut scenes? Including the opening theme lyrics which were changed?

They will never restore those lyrics, just like they'll never put the "racist" shots back in Fantasia

...Uh, we're assuming the OP is still referring to the UK release, right?

Cream of the crop? Which crop are you talking about? The rushed, sloppy, derivative, loosey-goosey modern crop? Or the refined, bold, inspired, technical stunners of Walt's era?

Hmmm...Beauty and The Beast is the only animated film to be nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars. Not that that means a damn thing.

Personally, love the film. I like old school Disney (Walt) and only like BATB and Aladdin. All the others after (and The Little mermaid) are pretty dull...

Seriously. Log Out, and educate yourself or at least have some intellect on Disney movies previous and after Beauty And The Beast or Aladdin.

I enjoy Beauty And The Beast definitely one of my favorites, too. <3

Are you serious ?

I can understand Sleeping Beauty not being an individual's favorite movie but, their least favorite ?

Sleeping Beauty is far more richer not only in it's animation but, also it's imaginative chemistry compared to Beauty And The Beast.

Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, And The Hunchback Of Notre Dame are more adult than most of Disney works.

I feel it's a must to have Aladdin.

Aladdin has been one of my most favorite Disney movies since I was little.

Pocahontas
Sleeping Beauty
Beauty And The Beast
The Hunchback Of Notre Dame
and
Aladdin are a must in my household.

It have nothing to do with richer or imagninative but how it marked you as a young person. Personnally it was Lion King. I like Sleeping Beauty and the Blu-ray is a work of art, but the pinnacle , for me, was Lion King. Altought i'll buy most if not all Disney 2D animation in a heartbeat regardless of the age of the production just because i like 2D animation.

I enjoyed Lion King aswell, and I can most definitely understand that being someone's favorite or taking a big part in someone's life. I personally liked the Lion King for the same reasons as I do Sleeping Beauty, and that's because Lion King took on a cultural point of view, and the Music was great. Disney took a child (Fun) idea, and presented it in a Spiritual (Different) means that the whole family could enjoy.

Sleeping Beauty marked me more than Beauty And The Beast could ever have. Maleficent, the villain was done wonderfully, and sent goose bump down my skin, and she genuinely scared the crap out of me.
Aurora's voice was done by Mary Costa, and her operatic tone brought magic to the movie. Sleeping Beauty was Definitely Dreamy, I feel the animators realized that, and took this ancient Fairy Tale and presented it wonderfully ( The Animation they used)

Beauty And The Beast and Sleeping Beauty are one of my favorites.

But, Sleeping beauty is definitely more mature (Better) than Beauty And The Beast, and I think Disney did mean it to be for both children, and adults alike where as Aladdin and Beauty And The Beast seem more childlike, bringing the child out of adults leading to it's Golden Globe Nomination.

But, Sleeping Beauty anyone could fall in love with it, with it's technique of both Animation, and creativity.

Oh, and if you guys loved Beauty And The Beast so much you would know they are also discussing a release for Beauty And The Beast on Blu Ray, aswell.

And I feel sorry for you guys who missed the joys of Sleeping Beauty. If you don't like Sleeping Beauty, and then I have no Idea of how any of you can like Beauty And The Beast other than the usual " I loved it since I was child" excuse........)=

Edited - Both movies are most likely too intelligent for you.
