Default Region free bd player help.

I just recently bought a region free sony bd player from world-import.com model S480.

I pluged it in and it works played region b disc fine but whn i went to play pal content a message on my screen appeared "the resolution is not supported on this t. plwase change the resolution". It happend with all 4 uk disc of phantasm and creepshow special edition from uk.

What im asking is do I have to buy a pal-ntsc converter from world import as well or the Orei XD-990 PAL HDMI / Composite to NTSC HDMI 50/60 Hz Multi-System Digital Audio Video Converter from amazon so I can play my content. Im not reall good when it come to all this tech stuff. I just want to pla my content.

Any help would do.

I would check that the cable is firmly pushed in at both ends--if no good try a shorter HDMI cable, 6 foot sounds to be very long.

My belief is that it is some thing basic like above or a setting-Is there another TV that you could try if another HDMI cable did not help.

I would not go buying any thing like a video converter--I believe that your TV is pal friendly so is your player.

I may need to change the settings but I dont know where to begin? The discs paly fine but certain pal content wont play and it comes up with that message. Its hooked up to an HDMI.

my main belief is that the cable is the problem, so trying another TV would help clarify that

According to the Player's page on world-import, this player does not convert NTSC to PAL. You will need a video converter.

"To play PAL DVD you must have a PAL TV or Multi System TV or our CMD-RF1080p HD Converter. Get $30 off on the converter when you buy a Blu Ray DVD Player. Must buy at same time"

Well if you want to deal with the same place it looks like the LGs have built in convertors.

Default Region free bd player

do not let any one sell you a converter-
world-import says Playback of regular (standard definition) PAL or NTSC DVDs from all regions: Regions 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,8
Plays any Blu Ray from any Region on any TV! No Special TV or Video Converter is required!
*******************
Did you try a different ideally shorter hdmi cable
Phone world-import them selves if in doubt
