Default LG 32LD350 32 Inch 720p LCD HDTV / Sound Switch Issue

Hey forum! I've got a bit of an issue here. When I first started to get into HD I purchased this set back in 2010.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0039RNGNY

It's a great first set for me. Now I bought this HDMI cable from Amazon about a few months after the set.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001T9NUJE

It works fine and everything but switching back between sources is the issue. When I switch to HDMI and watch a movie or play a game (the setup is through PS3) and then go back to either component or TV there is a loss of sound. I have to revert back to HDMI then go back to the component or TV source and all is fine. Anyone know why this is?

Any help is appreciated.

My guess. Defective. No TV should do that. I've own 2 LG 32LD550 models and have not experience anything like that using the set with 2 HDMI sources.
