No other thread for this? Seems odd such a classy film has no thread.

Review up: https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/To-Di.../27504/#Review

Big fan of this and I'll be picking that up sometime soon. Sad they've not managed to pick up some of the special features of my German DVD:

The same disc was released in Finland/Sweden/Denmark I believe but the German disc is the cheapest. Just make sure you get the right release as it's had several: http://www.amazon.de/dp/B001E7I2YY/ is the right one. It may not be very much but the interviews are very interesting to me.

Is anyone able to 100% confirm the original theatrical audio mix for this film? Was it 5.1 in theaters in 1995 or was that mix just created for the then new dvd format in 1998?
I'd really like to know. Given that this film wasn't a big budget production is it possible the original mix was 2.0 surround and that the blu-ray faithfully reproduces it?

Not very many people going to have accurate information about that.

I'd go with the end titles:

That'll have to be good enough unlesss you think everything should be in 3D. Which I'm sure you don't.

Maybe Van Sant's best film although don't tell him I said that or he might try and get funding to remake Ben Hur or something.

Well it's always worth asking!
Thanks for the screen grab, it never occurred to me to check the film itself! d'oh!
That's good enough for me anyway!

Only one of two movies that Kidman doesn't annoy me to the point of murder. The other being Dead Calm

Good film
