Default Troy PQ best so far?

seriously this is the best Blu I have seen yet. The attention to detail is amazing. The colors pop off the screen. The person who made the costumes should take pride in what they did. The scene where they are leaving Sparta and Orlando Bloom shows Eric bana that the girl came with him is jus WOW! The ocean is just so... BLU!

how is the movie itself. the original in theater version made the trojan war look like it lasted all of a month instead of many years. does the new version make it seem longer? what about the extra scenes with helen. i hear rumor they are very revealing. nudge nudge

The picture quality isn't the best I've seen, but it is a major improvement over the theatrical version. And it certainly made me want to vommit when I saw the "remastered" version of Face/Off right after... YUCK!! I don't know what they did to the image on Face/Off but it SUCKS!! But Troy is kind of shakey. But you get used to it (or it's just for the opening and end credits that it's shaking). The sound kind of bugs me in some scenes. The battles sound pretty good, but the dialogue in parts is super muddy sounding.

Sorry, I was testing Face/Off after testing Troy and it really upset me. They even changed how the opening credits looked and there's this weird warble thing for some of the movie.... It's horrible... ANywho, back to Troy. A lot of shots had some pretty nice 3D effects, and I do like how they "warmed" up the image. But Deja Vu, Casino Royale, Pirates, they all had a more solid picture IMO. Troy didn't look bad at all, but I do think the other ones looked better. As for the picture shaking, it's noticable in the opening and end. It's like when you go to a movie theater that still uses film and it kind of moves around a bit on the screen. It happens sometimes, it's no biggy.

the shaking was nothing compared to the latest bourne movie though. it made me feel as though i was being mugged. i guess I like this one so much is because the last time i saw it it was on VHS. I think it os better than pirates. I just necer though Pirates was Quote "Better than real life"

I am not talking about the way it was filmed, i mean the film itself is moving around on the screen...

I haven't noticed any shaking but I did notice the sound (dialogue) being really muddy in some scenes.

Don't hesitate from buying the Director's cut it is superb!

PQ---5

SQ---5

This version is far superior to the original cut, gone are the wailing woman's voices and the added 30 min. of footage is a huge plus.

I'm surprised this is not in the top 10 at Amazon

A must have on BLU-RAY!

could it have anything to do with your Television processing or is definitely the video itself?

No, it's deffinately the video itself. It's on all cuts of the film. It's like the film is moving around. Trust me, it's there.
