I like them when they're the "thicker" type. I'm not really a huge fan of the thinner ones that Warner released years ago.
They are much more popular in Germany/Austria these days than anywhere else that I know of. It's not unusual to see a movie get 3-5 "Mediabook" (as they're more generally called overseas) releases with different covers all at once. It seems like they've fallen out of favor domestically though, as you hardly see many new Digibook releases. |

I have around twelve or thirteen of the WB book releases and there are still a few more that I want to get. I like them but I'm usually surprised if I see a new release with this packaging, like the Target DC movies in the past couple years.
I still think the ones I have like the old WB ones and Labyrinth and Dark Crystal are all really nice. But I think styles like Arrow's limited sets, or any other packaging that includes a thick booklet on its own have become a more preferable option. |

Ones like Citizen Kane are great. Thin ones like Poltergeist, not so great.

I much preferred when Best Buy blew out the 4K Disney/Pixar/Marvel Steelbooks for $4.99-$9.99!

Digibooks look great, but unless you keep them on a shelf to themselves they don't look good mixed with those ugly blue topper cases used for a majority of releases.
Sometimes they do get too banged up. My 3-disc book for Blade Runner looks awful, arrived that way and the release was already OOP. Corners are bent, metallic scrapes in certain spots. Not proud of it at all. My favorites are going to be some released by Warner (King Kong, Clash of the Titans, Little Shop of Horrors) and Sony (Labyrinth, Dark Crystal). |

I love the mini making of booklets with movie memorable photos and info with the added bonus of the actual movie. Its perfect, the making of book with movie! I want them for every film.❤️

Unfortunately, for me most digibooks are missed opportunities - most of them are just a handful of familiar photos, some marketing copy in a big font, and a page or two of trivia. No in-depth essays or anything that would merit reading more than once. Occasionally there are some substantial digibooks, though, like To Kill a Mockingbird.
