USA Your first Video Game Steelbook?

This thread is to say what your first video game steelbook was.

Mine came in a game lot I purchased on ebay and it was Turning Point Fall of Liberty (U.S.) and the rest is history lmao.

Mine was Batman Arkham City.
A couple of years ago, when I started collecting Steelbooks and we had that crazy holiday 2009 Disney steelbook releases, I decided I would'nt go into Game Steelbooks since it will get really expensive.
So yeah my first was Batman Arkham City since they handed me one when I bought the game and FS.
My second was Uncharted 3 since I bought the CE.

Edit Nov 15, 2011: I just remembered, my first even was Halo 2 for xbox 1. I never remembered it since I already sold that console and all the games back in the day.

I'd have to say Halo 2. I don't recall any before that.

My first one was Bioshock (X360) three years ago, now i have around 40 steelbooks and few metal case games (in addition to others collector's editions.)

I started collecting games (x360 only) and now i will continue with Blu-ray (I have a few for now, but I hope that the collection grows) althought is a expensive hobby compared to the regular versions.

Steelbook is a brand. Just because the case is metal doesn't qualify it as a Steelbook. Take a look at how short the spine is. I'm not sure when Scanavo started making Steelbooks but this one came out in 2004.

Nice! You may or may not have an idea how incredibly rare (at least on ebay) that steelbook is. I found one since I began collecting and I snatched it up with the quickness. Now if only I could find Saints Row 2 /: that one is one of the banes of my collecting experience lol.

Ashamed Pegasus pretty much answered your question. I had the same problem when I first started collecting steelbooks. I thought any that were slim and metal were steelbooks. Had enough sense to know the large tins were just tins lol but eventually a member here showed me the light >.< that was after I had purchased Perfect Dark or whatever. To further answer your question with a good hint. All (as far as I have seen) official steelbooks will have the "Steelbook" brand logo on the inside of the case, printed usually on the plastic interior. I have learned that when buying steelbooks on ebay to always check the master list to make sure it's on there, if it isn't than it's a newer steelbook not yet mentioned in the forums or it's not a steelbook at all. Had to double check a Medal of Honor tin recently because the seller listed it as a "steelbook".

Depends. My first time was with Soul Calibur 4. But it's not until Devil May Cry 4 (US version) and Metal Gear Solid 4 (JPN version) that I considered the idea of collecting more.
