I recently won several movies that look like this:
Couldn't find any of them in the database? Pretty sure their imports but can't find anything out about them. They're slipcased. Anyone know? |

fake id say with about 99.9% accuracy. i saw them as well, selling pretty cheap and left them alone. you can tell from blu ray emblem at top. up to you if you want to see what quality is when you get or you can report to ebay now.
reason i know is a year or so ago i won a steelbook of the wrong turn collection. well when i got you could tell the blu rays were actually burnt cd9 or whatever you call them. got my money refunded through ebay soon after. Last edited by LuFeng; 11-21-2011 at 04:07 PM. |

lmfao....almost like the same responce i got...i sent a nice...well not so nice message back myself stating "they are NOT HK blus, im not an idiot i research stuff....and by listing on an auction site you are asking people to impulse by when theres only a lil bit of time left and you think you might be getting a great deal"
report him on ebay. its people like this that ruin things. lol i love though how they always try and say they are from HK..... the guy i dealt with first said the blu i bought was from china....i sent him a pick of what real china blu rays look like since i collect martial arts blus and import quite often...then he said sorry they were from china...so i sent a pic of official china release blus...then i got jibber jabber english saying they arent fake and hell give me refund lol Quote:

eh its not that bad on ebay, i mean sure every now and then those pop up etc but once you know what to look for you are all good...the saying "if its too good to be true" comes into play.
hell i wouldnt have half my collection if it wasnt for ebay. i probably avg around 6 to 8 bucks a movie becuase of that place ![]() |

The number one sign is to look for where the item is located.
If it says China, don't buy it. :P In fact, when I buy movies/video games/whatever, I'll go down to the little side-bar and click "Location: US Only" (since I live in America). International members can do the same thing with their local country. Sure, it's possible to have fakes being sold domestically, but it's a lot rarer because people would actually have to import that crap first in order to sell it ![]() That being said, bootleg cases can be cool, you could always just buy one for cheap, throw out the actual disc, and use the slipcover and all that with a legit disc LOL |
