thanks

EDIT: but I believe, that is not the only problem. Spielberg is pro blu, while paramount is red

I am pretty sure that the S and the G are going to leave Paramount after the way they have been treated, the money grab made by Viacom regarding HD DVD is the latest in a long line of f**k ups by the current administration that pushed Speilberg and Geffen away.

I doubt that 2/3 months of scrambling and niceties from Paramount is going to stop them going.

Remember, Paramount is nothing without Speilberg, he brings all of the talent in and it will all suddenly disappear when he leaves. Look at Universal.

Roflz! This would be the ultimate backhand to Paramount, especially after abandoning blu-ray for a pay-off. I'm sure their entire director board is sweating bullets right now on all fronts.

If they leave, So would that mean that any dreamwork pictures would not belong to paramount therefor not hddvd exclusive?

i guess not. dreamworks is purchased by paramount, and is subsidiary now (except dreamworks animation)

I don't think it was purchased, it was the deal they had with Universal a couple years ago. They distribute their movies. I don't think they out right own Dreamworks Stuidos.

Hopefully, Dreamworks has some nice titles that could impact on the war, like shrek 1, the ring, the island.

dreamworks animation is independent, while dreamworks studio is subsidiary of crapamount. you can read it yourself in wiki. but if that depends on spielberg presence in paramount, then it's great. they will lose the hd dvd exclusive.

It is too little too late - they're going to Columbia or Fox

thanks to people to steven speiblerg, they know the right format to go for. and are making PARAMOUNT pay for making a decision without coming back to the owners of dreamworks.

in keeping with the marriage anaolgy from the article:
paramount is like a wife that pissed off her husband (dreamworks) by whoring herself off to some rich john (hd-dvd), has been in the doghouse for the past couple months because of it, and now it looks like the husband has finally had enough and is getting the divorce papers ready.

dump that unfaithful b****!!

Spielberg has to be livid. Here he is seeing all his other director buddies enjoying the fruit of their labor on blu-ray while he is stuck on DVD. He has more money than God and yet that can't buy a single movie of his on blu-ray.
I'm sure he is planning to bolt. If he is smart, and I know he is, he will see this and not let Para-Works pull a con job on him. Sigh... only 17 more months to go.

paramount is desperate. no good new movies coming, only Spielberg and bay capable of making a movie worth watching, their not selling any hddvds, their already deep into the bribe money and we are entering Q4. their future looks bleak. heads are about to roll. i fully expect them to announce the next star trek movie soon. kirk and Kahn go in search of Spock's romulan lovechild.
