Default The Rock UK BD no commentary?

After seeing that the US and UK BD's for The Rock are both region-free and authored by Disney, I assumed they'd be identical. Sadly the UK BD seems to be missing the commentary track present on the US version. originally recorded for the Criterion DVD release. For some reason DVD Profiler's back cover image for the UK BD shows the commentary as an extra but the actual BD cover does not mention it, nor could I find the option anywhere on the disc.

The product is still a decent deal given that the presentation of the film is top-notch and all the other extras from the Criterion version are present but this is a disappointment since I'd heard that Michael Bay was very enthusiastic in his commentaries and they also had Ed Harris, Nic Cage and military adviser for the film on the track.

This is why i kept my Criterion DVD. It's a good commentary though i wish there were two as they have spliced together several different voices for the track, and i always prefer it when i can have the same person all the way through. I particularly like Bay's commentaries. The UK Rock is a great looking BD all the same!

I tend to check numerous sites for comparisons/ reviews before assuming that 1 release is identical to another, whether it's this site, AxelMusic, Movietyme or even Rewind@dvdcompare. I think I bought the US version of the Rock as (at the time) it was slightly cheaper than the UK version.

Alternatively, just ask people on this site for their advice

I bought the US disc ages ago, specifically because the commentary was missing.

The UK release came out a year or more before the US release so in that time something must have changed to allow the US release to include it.
