I Love the 70's disaster films. Earthquake would be great on BD!

First of all, I went to see Earthquake about 6 times when it was released in 1974! Of course, I went for the sound and the special effects, BUT, I watched it again a few weeks ago and, ah, it really is a bad movie! Bad editing, bad acting . . . and this won the academy award for best visual effects OVER The Towering Inferno! I know this movie has alot of fans (I was one of them) but, IMO, it just doesn't work anymore! To me, the three disaster champs are Airport, The Poseidon Adventure and The Towering Inferno!
