I'm assuming the Hindi is a typo for it being an Indian movie BD. I doubt there was any Hindi dub at all, and not including the original language would be just terrible.

Is the Drafthouse Films release in North America is still happening? The Variety announcement from January 2021 mentions a spring theatrical, digital, and Blu-Ray release.

Really? This film is actually a Malayalam film, not a Hindi film. I don't think there's a Hindi dub for this film. Surely this must be a typo error.

And speaking about the original language soundtrack, there are in fact two: the expletive-laden "actual" original used solely in the TIFF screening (rated 18A), and the theatrical track where all cusswords have been entirely muted/replaced for the UA rating. Wonder whether both of them would be included in this one, as no other aspect of the film was altered for the Indian release.

^I hope the bit where the old man cusses out the whole crowd is muted in the original version. It's a lot more fun to imagine what he might have said that embarrassed even that mob of roughs.

Not muted, per a friend who has seen the TIFF version. The old man actually shouts out quite a lot of stuff which would surely have driven the CBFC officials off their seats.

That's me quoted on the cover! I hope Drafthouse Films is still doing a disc, I may get involved in that since I helped them acquire the film. I've been evangelizing LJP for years now. I can't wait for people to see Churuli, it's really special, very different from Jallikattu

I would really like to catch Churuli, hasn't turned up on the streaming networks in India so far.

I think we might not get a theatrical release for Churuli due to current situation

I can't say much, but I will tell you that Churuli isn't quite finished. Theatrical is still a possibility as far as I know, but not guaranteed.
