I have the Panasonic DMP-BD65 Blu-Ray Disc Player. I've only used it a handful of times so far, and when I am trying to watch WALL-E with the special trivia commentary, the player keeps turning off and restarting the entire Blu-Ray disc over. I tried watching another Blu-Ray disc, and it seemed to be working fine. I got a new WALL-E replacement disc from Amazon, and the same thing still is happening. I made sure all my firmware was updated, and it was. Is this feature something that may not work on all players? Is there something wrong with my player? Also, the special trivia commentary did work at one point without issue. I know I recently updated my firmware, but I can't remember it that was before the first time I watched WALL-E (when the feature worked) or after.
Also, another question is that I heard Blu-Ray players take like 15-25 seconds to load a movie...I timed mine and it was about 45-50 seconds until the first preview started. Not that 25-30 extra seconds really bothers me, but I was wondering if maybe this was also a problem with my player and it was supposed to go faster. Thanks. |

just a stab in the dark but could it be the Secondary Audio option in the setup menu?
Also, what settings did you change on the BD player? You could try going back to default and seeing if it still happens again? Also, what receiver are you using? Last edited by brake; 01-07-2011 at 02:24 PM. |

EDIT: Be sure to read the owners manual to get the most out of your player. Last edited by frogmort; 01-12-2011 at 09:54 PM. |

Yeah, I'm not really worried about the disc play time right now.
I am upset about the WALL-E disc not playing properly, and I only have until the end of the month to get a refund...I really like this player, and I don't want to have to return it so I am really hoping for some answers. ![]() |

Hi,
I have Panasonic DMP BDT210 player which I bought recently. When I tried to access youtube/netflix etc using the viera cost button, they work without any sound. Once in a while, I get sound output. I have no idea what is going on. I use a HDMI cable to connect to my tv. My tv is Philips 42" LCD. The player works with Blu-ray discs smoothly and I get nice picture and sound. Any help is appreciated |

But there is no sound for any viera cast apps...and some time get sound for all the apps....I want to check whether any audio setup adjustments are needed...I have setup automatic updates for the player....so, if that does not show any pending updates, it means my player is completely updated, isn't it..?

Purchased Panasonic DMP-BD60 Region A player two years ago, now its having trouble reading Blu-ray movies that used to play just fine. I noticed the player refuses to read more Fox titles now (500 Days of Summer, Take Me Home Tonight, Taken) and Region A only coded discs (Hobo With A Shotgun) in general.
Firmware has been updated several months ago, though the problem already slowly started before that (skipping, distorted picture during the asylum scene in The Wolfman. Since the U.S. disc is region free it plays without the skipping on my Region B player). Bought a Blu-ray laser lens cleaner which seems to temporary solve dust sensitive playback issues in some cases (Piranha 2010, Region A), but I'm not sure if dust is responsible for the problems mentioned above. Any idea what this problem might be? Last edited by Leslie Dame; 08-24-2011 at 08:33 AM. |

Anyone know why Panasonic hasn't released a firmware update for the BD65 in almost a year? Not that I'm having issues, but it seems like they have totally forgotten this player. I've only had mine for a little less than a year.

I've had a BD-80 for about two years. I updated one time when they fixed the freezing problem (that I only saw twice both on the Rambo disk). I have had no issues since so never wanted to risk updating again. My player was hooked to the internet for a total of about ten minutes to do the one update. After reading of problems on the BD Live on just about every brand of player I decided it was worthless and have no need for it. If it ain't broke don't fix it.
