Default Panasonic DMP-BD75 plays .MTS files via USB when it shouldn't

Yes, I tried to play my MKV file via USB and it would not work. This unit says it only play MKV files via USB. Well I convert the MKV file to an .MTS file and it played via USB. That player does not support .MTS file via USB. Anyone have a clue why it might be playing .MTS files when it is not supposed to? lol weird

Question

Not sure about your issue as I have no clue what those files are. However, my main question is how is this player regarding, video, audio quality and does it stream lossless audio or does it need to be converted with a A/V receiver? The reason being is that the player is on sale for $60 at Amazon. Thanks in advance.
