Default Tbs Hd

Anyone here get TBS HD? I've been watching a few of the baseball games and they look great, but reruns of The Office (for instance) are just 4:3 shows stretched to fill the 16:9.

Is this a problem everyone is having? I called my cable provider, and they said that's just the way TBS is doing it, which is what I figured, but I just wanted to make sure.

Thanks.

Tbs has been the worst provider of playoff mlb baseball i have ever seen! Between the horrible technical issues with the picture and sometimes the sound not being synced up to go along with horrible commentators and field reporters they need to give it up and let ESPN and fox handle the playoffs!

I cant stand Joe Buck and his my@#@$ does not stink attitude along with Mr. Yankee McCarver either, but fox as a whole is light years ahead of tbs when it comes to broadcasting playoff baseball.

For what I have seen on Dish, TBS has very good picture quality (baseball only). Better than ESPN.

Picture quality is a very little piece of the puzzle when it comes to this, the broadcast teams and production of the show are horrible at best, this is the first telecast were they have actually missed pitches, there is no excuse for that at all, you do playoff baseball you show every single ball and strike. Im praying fox has the alcs and nlcs this year.

I think fox only has the alcs and tbs has the nlcs, but i am not sure about that.

NLCS will be on TBS.

As for stretching to fill the screen, no surprise there. Media companies have always been lazy and accomodating to the clueless masses rather than doing things right, so no surprise they continue to do so, sadly.

If I flip to an HD Channel showing a movie that is not OAR, I shut it off. I DVR'd Die Hard on Cinemax the other day. I deleted it immeiately when I saw it was not OAR.

Did anyone catch the NAT-fest (Indians vs Yankees) the other day.

That was nuts. I was amazed at the detail, but my wife wanted to throw up. It's been talked about on all main ESPN talk shows today.

I remember saying to my wife that on a regular TV we wouldn't see any of this.
