Die-Cast, Lighted 1/350 ST:TMP Enterprise Re-Fit Crowdfunder Starts 8/1

Tomy, which had a bit of a shaky start with the TOS Enterprise release, is back with the TMP Re-Fit- iridescent Aztecing paint apps and all.

Roughly the same size as the Polar Lights model kit (about 34" long), fully lit and painted. and die-cast metal (so no sagging nacelles over time) all for $699. That's $100 more than they charged for the TOS version (which included shipping!).

Not sure if shipping will be included this time, but for the extra labor with the paint, that seems a fair price to me.

They struggled with the funding last year, repeatedly lowering the goal.

I don't think they'll have that problem with this one.

Fully funded after 4 hours. Quite the change from the TOS campaign.

Total comes to $150 more than the first ship, but considering the labor with the paint apps, and the more extensive lighting set up, that doesn't seem to too excessive to me. Or out of line.
