Not thinking about money, what job in the movie business would you find most rewarding? The options are endless.. editor, actor, agent, director, cinematographer, writer, make up, custumes, set design etc etc.. again, not necessarily considering fame or money, just what line of work would you enjoy the most?

Producer. They make the big bucks and in the end, they decide what gets made.

While I am no expert in acting, I know enough about it to know that it isn't stress free. Although to be fair, what job is? As you already mentioned, the days can be very long. The extensive research and prep work for roles can be very demanding. Ask any method actor how challenging it can be to create a dark persona or physical transformation for a character. But what would bother me the most as a recognizable actor would be that I couldn't go anywhere or do anything without being hounded. That would bug me immensely. Believe me, which acting may not carry the stress of lawyers, doctor, or stock brokers, it has stress. And I certainly wouldn't call it the easiest job in the world if I was me. I hope this clarifies my line of thinking for you beefytwinkie.

Maybe I should have chosen my words a little better. I should have said relatively it would be stress free. My job is stressful and annoying as hell. I think if I was an established actor it wouldn't be very difficult. The hours are nothing. I can pull 12 hour days standing on my head. I think getting the personas downwould be the toughest but many actors nowadays have coaches. Either way, I'd trade my job for that any day.
Orange Green Tea had a good one, too. Producing is not too shabby. Calling all the shots. |

Yeah.. if you aren't famous, I think acting would be stressful. Finding work, being better than everyone else, finding good roles, etc.. but once you got the job it probably wouldn't be that bad. Rehearsing can be fun and there is a pleasure in becoming someone else.
Personally I would want to write the screenplays. It'd be awesome to see a vision come to life like that, and to be responsible for the Entire story, every character and every scene, not just bits and pieces. |

I would definitely be a Foley Recording Artist. I have done some work in the past doing Foley work, and I loved it. It would be a lot of fun to be a creative sound engineer or work on the recording aspect of sound effects for film.
