If I remember properly, 24 is the first season that was rushed to market before the start of the new season of the same series. That may have had an impact on it's look. Going forward, they planned on having the DVDs ready between seasons.
That's twice Fox started a trend, first with X-files (full season DVDs) and second with 24 (using the DVDs to catch viewers up before the new season). |

I don't know how they are on Netflix, but this season originally aired on TV in SD. I believe Fox was toying with expanded definition and not full 720p HD when it was aired. The DVD is Full-Screen and sub-par. I've been waiting for this series on Blu-Ray since I bought my player. Anyone know if Season 1 was even filmed on film or in high-def to make a Blu-Ray even possible?

I know I watched S2 in HD, but as I didn't watch S1 live, I can't comment on whether it was HD or SD only. |

Really? Wow, I was way off on that! Sorry about that. I guess I need to go back and watch it again. I still wonder about the Season 1 HD thing, yes Season 2 was broadcast in HD. Fox got over that dumb ED experiment by that point.
