Default Parasound vs. Sunfire vs. Outlaw?

Hey guys,

Question: Being that these amps are relatively in the same price range, which do you think rates best in performance and sound quality? I've heard really good things about the Parasound Halo A-51 but those have been countered a bit with the Sunfire TGA-7401 and the Outlaw 7900. Out of these three models, who comes out victorious? I believe the Parasound is the most expensive, followed by the Sunfire, and finally the Outlaw. But the Sunfire outputs more watts per channel; and how about "clean" power? I have a 7.2 setup to drive despite the fact that the Parasound is only 5 channels. If it's the best in the group then an additional 2 channel may be in the cards. My focus is quality. Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

All of those amps can hold there own, they all produce clean power, and they all provide sufficient dynamic headroom. This is clearly a case of users preference - understand your budget and take your pick!

I have owned Outlaw 7500 and Parasound A21. In my case, I perfer the Parasound. I felt it had a sweeter sound...maybe a little more focused and stronger bass. However, the Parasound does run much hotter than the Outlaw. I eventually swapped the Outlaw 7500 for a B&K Reference 200.5, which I also liked better than the Outlaw 7500. To me, the B&K sounded a little warmer than the Outlaw and the Outlaw had what I think was a power supply buzzing sound that I could never get stop. B&K could be had on the used market for a good price I would think, it might be worth consideration.

I hear that the Sunfire is warmer, a bit more defined, and punchier in bass while the Parasound is a more neutral.

Also, the Parasound is a 5-channel amp @ 250 watts p/c, while the Sunfire is a 7-channel @ 400 watts p/c... And they're the same price. What's the story with that?

I have a Sunfire Grand Cinema and it's pretty neutral.
