USA POLL: Do you want a Dvd with your Blu-ray Purchase?

Am I the Only one who believes it is stupid to have Blu-ray Movie releases that come included with a Dvd...
Anybody who is Buying a Blu-ray Doesn't need, want or use the Dvd.
It Wastes Space
It increases the price
It is insulting

So Do you Agree with Me - YES or NO

ummm, no...

1... It doesn't waste space. same size case on your shelf with or without it
2... sometimes, usually only in new releases if that, and they tend to be the ones that go on sale for LESS than their single disc counterparts. and as for catalogs. they are the same price as their single disc catalog friends
3. why is it insulting??? it's not like they don't include the blu ray and laugh at you. I prefer combo packs. I can use it at my parents, in my car and make my OWN DRM free digital copies if I want.

I'll take the DVD if it doesn't raise the price. Why not?

As for it being "insulting"...LOL, give me a break.

Digital Rights management. it's what forces you to use your digital copy ONLY on i-tunes devices or limits the amount of places you can store it etc. Basically a form of copy protection

I voted no, because I don't necessarily want the DVD, but I would much rather have the DVD than a digital copy.

In many stores...At least near me...You can't even find a Dvd Player to buy...so the days of the Dvd are coming to an end....
BESIDES Blu-ray Players Are programmed to play Dvd's that never get bluray releases.

The DVD discussion. This is like the 5th discussion on the issue in a month. I like DVD copies, as I can give them to people who might want the film, but can't afford it at the moment, don't have BD, and/or don't give a crap about the PQ. Most combo packs I've bought have been cheaper than the BD and/or DVD only versions.

I like getting DVDs with my BDs. It's much easier to let my parents, friends or siblings borrow my DVD copy than it is to carry my blu-ray player around so they can watch a movie.

Something to think about is that you have family's who have BD players at home and have DVD players in their car/van. They can take the DVD copy with them on a family trip and watch the BD at home. Not to mention there haven't been too many, if any BD players available for said vehicles. What some see as annoying, and pointless others see as a better value.

As I rule, I prefer lower prices and smaller packaging. I don't care if it is a couple bucks and a few mm.

However hyperbolic the OP, the idea that I need an extra disc to download a DC from the internet which I then unlock with a code on a separate piece of paper which then rots on my shelf or goes straight to a landfill is...a bit much.

I have, to date, never used a single DVD from a combo pack. Clearly they are popular, but I find them a nuisance.

Not fussed either way. Although I would prefer a DVD be included over a digital copy.
