Xbox 360 workers attempt mass suicide in China - Report

WantChina Times and Gameplanet are reporting that some 300 Foxconn employees working on Microsoft's Xbox 360 manufacturing line threatened suicide after the corporation denied a promised compensation package.

The real culprit here is Foxconn

They had an incident before in which 14 people actually killed themselves

Foxconn is culpable, but they're unlikely to cave in to their employees' demands, despite all of the negative PR. Foxconn view their workers as chattel and thus, expendable. I don't think I can even boycott Foxconn's products on principle because they have their hands in just about every electronic/electrical device I own/use, from consoles (Microsoft and SONY) to motherboards and PC components.

Having re-read the article, I find nothing wrong with how it's written / how the facts were presented. The workers threatening a mass suicide are those assigned to the Xbox 360 manufacturing line, not those assigned to other manufacturers.

They are still making a crap-load of money from their gaming division.
