Hello good ppls
![]() I recently ran into a problem which is forcing me to try and find another way to watch Blu-rays without the 5.1 surround sound set up i currently have at home (incredibly long story); therefore, i am looking into some "surround sound" headphones to fill in that gap. I am looking to be able to hook up the headphones in a way where I can get the same audio stream i currently have from the receiver to the headphones. I have the PC hooked up to the receiver via the 6 channel analog plugs (using the analog setup since it's and older receiver) which gives me the DTS-HD and Dolby True-HD 5.1 lossless tracks available on BDs now a days. Does anyone here happen to know if i can plug in some surround sound head phones via the coaxial/optical outputs on the receiver and pretty much get that same signal over to the headphones? Is this possible? How would I go about setting this up? I know it still won't be the same, but it's better than nothing. LOL. I currently have an old Harmon/Kardon AVR 125 which is still kicking and screaming, but have to go with option 2 for a while and it's what i want to hook the headphones up to. Searched the forums for several hours now and could not find a previous answer to this. The Sticky above about headphones is a bit outdated (2009?) since there are probably several decent 5.1/7.1 headphones out there by now. At least i hope so. LOL. Any advise or help in this matter is greatly appreciated. Thank you! ![]() |
