SAMSUNG BD-P3600 2.09 update failing - Blu-ray Forum

downloads fast, verifies fast, then it's stuck at the 4th step - Firmware update. - Now, processing....
I reset it 2 times so far after giving it 15-20 minutes, looks like the update never even started - when it restarts it detects again that there is a new update available.
Anyone else with this problem? Any suggestions?

Did you check in the setup menu 'display', what is the status of the latest firmware? Perhaps it did update it and you just don't know or are not sure yet. ...You know, for confirmation sake. Happened with my Sammy player few times like that before.

* By the way, are you doing it from the Ethernet port? Or a burned CD-R disc? If one way gives you trouble, just try the other method.
And are your settings properly adjusted?

well, it keeps saying that the exact same update is available after resetting it so I assume it didn't quite install

Takes only seconds to doublecheck though.

So, are you using the Ethernet port for this?

Yes, then why not try to burn a disc and do it that way instead? Right?

hey I did check it and it still runs on the 2.07 update

sorry didn't respond to all your questions, I am using the Ethernet port, it has worked so far with updates or watching YouTube, but I will burn it to a CD and give it a try tomorrow, thanks for the suggestion!

Ver. 2.15 firmware is up and running for BD 3600.
