God, why?

I'm sorry, but the BDA had better start churning out better titles than this. Fast.

With all the people returning the Samsung player, I don't think 'fast' should be the watchword of the BDA.

'Quality' would be a better watchword.

^ must read avsforum it should be renamed HDA1forum. The BD-P1000 is not getting returned as much as they'd like you to think. alot of fanboism going on over there and hdtvoice.com and no factual backing.

You're right. The player has taken a fair amount of unfair criticism.

However...some of those Blu-Ray discs' transfers do leave something to be desired, to say the least. That's a fact.

The other fact is: We simply need to see better quality movies than direct to video dreck like Basic Instinct 2, which should never have been made in a million years.

I just don't see anything to get excited about yet. This title sure as hell doesn't do anything for me.

Default Basic Instinct 2 Review...

They said the picture looked good, so eventhough the movie may suck, at least the picture quality is good.

Basic Instinct 2 actually had a theatrical run. I'm surprised they bothered to make this sequel after all these years but obviously some people are interested in it.

I'll be purchasing just to see some good quality film... The movie could suck but as along as the quality is good, I'll watch it. There have been plenty of times I've found myself watching a show in HD that I would never have given the time of day if it was just SD.

I can definitely relate to that! I never used to watch PBS but now I find myself watching that channel often.

Pricing comming down on films is the only exciting part, most titles are 24.99 & 29.99 now them comming out for 19.99 and sales like fry's had this week on select titles for 14.99 (i bought terminator) is a good sign.
