I would think it will be the 3D copy which comes with a slip. I don't think the 2D will have a slip. As for me about picking it up well sadly I was not a fan of the film joy just got on my nerves I liked the start and the end but the middle part of the film just bored me.

Pretty sure my steelbook won't come with a slip.....

Was dispatched a few days ago so I'm hoping it turns up today!

My main point of contentions with this release:

- Why have Disney not bothered to release even a limited numbered o-ring to match the new numbered o-rings for previous releases? I replaced my old slips for the new ones through DMR - has anyone else done this and now just going onwards getting the standard 3D o-rings?

- Such a shame that the extras disc was severely limited to the Zavva steel At least with Sainsbury's it is pretty much accessible to all easily. I have the bonus discs for all previous Pixars… this might be the first one I don't get as I've gone off importing from USA.

I enjoyed the film but do not think that it is completely worthy of the huge praise it had (Pixar has done much better!) Mark Kermode absolutely raves about it!

They did a second release of Big Hero 6 with a new style slip, I'd expect the same for this, and keep an eye on DMR.

I imported exactly because of the extra disc, I had an order in with Zavvi for the steel but it was cheaper to import, particularly once I'd flogged the digital copy.

I hadn't seen it until the BD arrived, but there's something really beautiful about the film. It's clearly very personal, and overflowing with things that the parents at Pixar want to make sure their children know. I'm not a parent but it still got me right in the feels, I can only imagine how much more so it would have were I one. I was hoping for a film that was more overtly funny, but I found I've been thinking about its emotional side frequently since I saw it.

3D disc has the Lava short in 3D.

2D disc has:
Lava, Riley's First Date ?, Audio Commentary, Paths To Pixar: The Women Of Inside Out, Mixed Emotions

Brilliant film, easily Pixar's best since Toy Story 3.

Eh, not really. Once Sainsburys went digital video only online, it was luck of the draw on whether you had a store nearby and if said store actually stocked blu-rays. Zavvi's exclusive steel is/was overpriced, but at least it was available to everyone with an internet connection.

But personally, I think Disney UK can shove their bonus disc exclusives, I'll wait for a deal on the US release where 2 disc blu-ray set comes standard.

Yeah, I guess that's true. I have a Sainsbury's local so it always felt accessible. The steelbook exclusive thing just seems even more extreme to me - as you say, overpriced. And sold out even before I even knew about it, just seems unfair on many levels. Plus none of my other Pixars are steels...

Could someone please help with the US import thing - If it costs over £15, I will get charged import tax, right?

Depends on who you use. Some third parties will move it from a distribution centre in the States to a regional warehouse and then ship to your address from there. That will bypass import fees.

If you are liable though, ie. the item costs over £15 (excluding shipping) then you'll be charged based on the total cost (including shipping) plus the 'handling fee' (c£8).

For those wanting the US release, the 2D edition is going up as a Black Friday deal on Amazon tomorrow for $9.99.

The US release is slightly different from the European release. In the US release Riley's dad has a hockey daydream, whereas in the European release he has a football daydream. The football daydream does not make any sense within the film's context

I thought that was odd! There's only one sport this film is all about! Still loved it though... The best of Pixar. Moments of true genius!

I think for any who want the slip id rather just get one instore than gamble online. Its rather nice though, i like the glossy finish on the characters and embossing on it.
