Question WTF ? B&N Delivered My 'Senna' Blu-ray ...

So I get home today and there in a snow drift by my front door is a white mailing bag from B&N. I wasn't expecting anything, so when I opened it I was quite surprised to see 'Senna' inside. I had pre-ordered this during one of their holidays sales, and when the N. American 12/20/2011 release date came and then went, I figured the order was just canceled, as the item even disappeared from the site for a while, and I heard the N. American release was re-set for March 2012. The item has now reappeared on B&N, but lists as out of stock and still shows the old release date.

I wonder what version I got ? There are NO region notes on disc case anywhere and B&N was of zero help. I can't even see the UPC as its covered by a sticker on the disc wrapping.

what's the running time of the disc you got, I know that the UK import has the theatrical and an extended cut of the film.

I don't have Netflix because I have the complete Verizon TV package with all the movie channels and a large BD collection. Thanks for letting me know though. I'll get this BD as a blind buy.

Mine was delivered today (ordered on B&N around the same time you did). Have no idea how to attach photos on this site though.

The UPC on mine is not covered by a sticker. Must be the UK release. A little over halfway down the back, there's a box in which "www.universalpictures.co.uk" is typed.

Afraid to open it in case it's not region free after reading post(s) here:

http://www.avforums.com/forums/blu-r...gion-free.html

edit: Although all may not be lost. The UPC typed into the Amazon.com/uk product search box turns up this (which claims it's region-free)...and the photo of the Blu looks like the Blu which I received:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Senna-Blu-ray-Region-Free-Ayrton/dp/B0064LLCVU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1326621386&sr=8-1

It would be odd if it is region locked as Universal has always released their titles as region free.

Yeah, I remember reading that. I've ordered a few titles from A/UK under that assumption. Then that post on avforums had me worried. I'll check the flick out this week.

Sorry I did not post back to this thread sooner.

I went ahead and unwrapped the disc, and I too received the UK version (UPC is 5050582857931).

Figures. Amazon has this back up for pre-order again, with a new date of 3/6/2012.

No it's not. He was asking us for help so I told him what he needed to do to get that help. It wasn't for my benefit, so I didn't ask nicely. So don't correct me.
