Smile New Target is Blu

Hello everyone I've been lurking for awhile but I had to resister today to give you some good news.

A brand new Target just opened by my house yesterday.

I'm happy to say that there is a definite lean toward Blu.

They had one side of an entire aisle dedicated to HD. Out of that 23 columns were Blu and only 7 were HD-Dud.

They also had a separate display in the electronics section with more movies displayed under a sony blu-ray player. No HD_DVD player is sight.

Holy crap that's beautiful.

Thanks for the pics.

Where are you located?

Older targets are apparently supposed to get reorganized soon as well, hoping for that at my local one.

My target has 4 small columns of blu and 2 columns of red...hopefully this gets expanded for the blu

I'm guessing he lives in Sacramento. Does anyone outside of Sacramento know they still have a team?

Something to consider: to the unitiated to the whole HD world, if they were to go to their local Target (or anywhere, really, as this seems to be becoming a trend) and trying to decide which was better, I think Blu is showing a definite advantage with so much more floor space dedicated to it than HD DUD. The red crowd can talk all they want, it's pictures like these that say it all...

I was at BBY earlier this week and there was a guy looking at both the hd dvd and blu-ray and the saleman showed him the selves for blu and dud and showed how the blu is twice as big and that decided the guys decision..

That's the same as the 2 Targets near me, it's kind of sad especially after I go to Best Buy and Circuit City (They both have a healthy section for Blu Ray and HD DVD movies). Walmart near me is pretty sad too.

Not related to Target but I went to Best Buy today and they did some reorganizing. They now have 5 columns/sections for Blu-ray then 2 filled columns/sections for HD-DVD and two blank columns/sections for HD-DVD. When I saw it I said wow!! Still no The Fly or Robocop though
