Actually looks like it could be quite funny. Jason Bateman usually is. I admit there were actually parts of the trailer where I was laughing quite a bit.

Loooooooooooooooooooove Melissa McCarthy. I'll wait to see the reviews first to decide to see this in theatres.

Jason Bateman is great. If you don't like him, you probably haven't seen Arrested Development. His timing on the show is fantastic, and he plays these 'straight man' roles perfectly. Melissa McCarthy is just great, pretty much always. Should be pretty good, despite when it's coming out.

I think it looks good. I'm a big Bateman fan though, he's one of the best straight men there is.

I admit that I've never seen Arrested Development, but have heard good things about it. Might have to check it out. I have, however, found Bateman to be hilarious in some recent movies like Horrible Bosses and The Change-Up.

trust in these good things you have heard and watch it. AD was a terrific show.

Can't officially change that "was" to an "is" until I see what the new episodes on Netflix have to offer. I am hopeful the same brilliance is continued.

I like him in all of his recent films that I've seen. He was good in Juno, Paul, and his serious roles in State of Play, Up in the Air, etc. Horrible Bosses is one of my favorites of his, as well as The Change-Up because it allowed him to abandon his straight man role and be the obnoxious douche bag that Ryan Reynolds' character was...unfortunately, I'm probably alone on the island of people who like that movie.

Oh, heck no. I didn't think the movie was really, really good, but it was enjoyable. Plus Bateman and Ryan Reynolds were both fantastic which made it better.

I'd say it'd probably be a good blind buy. You liked Horrible Bosses, so I'm sure you don't really care about nasty humor. Plus I'm not sure how you feel about both the actors, but they're both really good in the movie.

I know. Hilarious. And I've heard people *****ing and moaning about scenes like the car singing scene, but I was the first time I saw that.

They played this trailer before Zero Dark Thirty and the theatre was filled with guys and the majority of them laughed and continued laughing after the trailer was over and this guy behind me and my friend was like, "it wasn't that funny."

Exactly - hasn't that been the staple of comedy since, like, forever? Pretty sure the best time that was done was in Planes, Trains and Automobiles, where the roles were actually funny.

This has its moments, but only because Bateman is funny and making loads of fat people jokes sometimes works.
