Surf's Up released today - worth buying? I am a fan of computer animation, but there are some I will not be buying on BD. How does this compare to say Shrek, Monster House, Finding Nemo, Cars, etc.

I had seen this in the movie theater and I thought it was very enjoyable. I mean that is obviously my personal opinion, but I thought it was a pretty good film and my 2 daughters loved it as well. I was thinking the whole time that this will look amazing in Blu and according to the reviews on both this site and on Highdefdigest.com it was worth the wait. I have it coming to me today here at work from Amazon Prime.

Planning on purchasing this today as well. Great movie, water effects will be gorgeous. Better penguin movie than Happy Feet in my opinion.

This is a great movie and the blu-ray is 100 times better than seeing it in theatres - the picture and sound on this blu-ray are incredible - a definite must buy. This is also one of those movies that can be enjoyed my parents as well as kids as it has those adult jokes hidden throughout the movie.

My 6 year old daughter did not enjoy this movie. 15 minutes into it, she was already bored and doing other things. I haven't seen it, but my daughter loves watching movies. She and I will sit and what a whole season of Justice League, Superman, or Batman and she will just watch it with me. She loved the Wild, Madagascar, Cars, but she just could not or rather did not enjoy this movie.

All of our kids loved this movie at the theater..the teenagers said the same thing as you - much better than Happy Feet.

For some reason my girlfriends sister didn't like the movie either but I don't think she watched it all since she thought it was a documentary??? I saw part of it and thought it was better than Happy Feet from what I saw.
